Cajas - Boxes

Me encantan las cajas con papeles alegres. Ya sean para empaquetar un regalo, guardas cosas... Hoy os enseño dos cajas muy fáciles de hacer y que cuya plantilla he conseguido de uno de mis blog favoritos Capture the moment. La primera caja es una cuadrada y próximamente os enseñaré para que la he usado ;-) Podéis encontrar como hacer aquí.

La segunda es una caja abierta para que el contenido se pueda ver. Yo la he puesto un iman y la he colgado de la nevera, dentro hemos metido los papeles para pedir comida para llevar que siempre andaban cayendose de la nevera. La plantilla la podéis encontrar aquí.

2ª clase de bolillos - 2nd bobbin lace classes

Hoy os enseño lo que he aprendido en mi segunda clase de encaje de bolillos, donde he podido practicar el tejido y las arañitas, con un fondo de torchón.

Aunque por ahora sólo estoy haciendo cosas sencillas me he dado cuenta de la gran complejidad de esta técnica-arte. Los bobillos requieren una gran concentración y delicadeza. Como Pilar dice, es una verdadera terapia porque te hace olvidarte de todo y concentrarte únicamente en el trabajo que estas haciendo. Por ello avanzo despacio,durante la semana llego tarde y cansada, y solo los fines de semana tengo el tiempo para sentarme tranquilamente a practicar y practicar. Pero poco a poco voy avanzando.

During the week I'm late and tired, and only during the weekend I have the time to sit quietly and practice, practice. But I am slowly making progress.

Tarjeta - Card

Esta es mi última tarjeta de cumpleaños. Es sencilla, la hice con un papel de flores, varios recuadros de papeles de colores y unas letras hechas con un rotulador azul brillante.

This is my last birthday card. It's simple, I made it with paper with flowers, some pieces of colored paper and a handwrite letters made with a bright blue.

Galletas de jengibre - Gingerbread cookies

Este fin de semana experimentamos y probamos a hacer galletas de jengibre para un amante del jengibre :-) Aunque no quedaron como las de ikea, el sabor era bastante bueno lo único que quedaron un poco duras. La receta la cogimos de aquí.

Las metimos en un bote de cristal, le pusimos una etiqueta, un lazo y ya tenemos un regalo la mar de chulo.

This weekend we tried out to make gingerbread cookies for a ginger lover :-) Although they were not such as Ikea, the taste was pretty good but they were a little hard. The recipe was caught from here. We put them in a glass jar, put a label, a ribbon and we have a fantastic gift.

Nido Kinder- Kinder nest

Hoy es el cumpleaños de Ana, ¡Felicidades!, y ayer lo celebró con una cenita en su casa. Como se que le encantan los huevos kinder le hice este nido.

Para hacerlo utilicé un ovillo un poco especial que compré hace tiempo, Katia Paper. La textura es como de papel, aunque pensaba que iba a quedar muy rígido el resultado es bastante maleable, prácticamente es como lana pero con una textura diferente. Un bolso hecho con este material seguro que queda genial, habrá que probar.

Today, it's Ana's birthday and yesterday she celebrated with a dinner in her place. As I know she loves Kinders, I made for her this "Kinder nest". To do it I use a special yarn I bought quite time ago. I thought that it would be stiff material but it is really malleable, almost like wool but with a different texture. A bag made from this material certainly would look great, should be tried.

Máquina de coser antigua - Old sewing machine

Hoy os quiero enseñar mi última adquisición, una máquina de coser antigua. Esta máquina es de mi abuela Tere y como sabe que me encantan las manuelidades me la ha querido regalar. Lleva mucho tiempo sin ser usada pero por lo que he podido comprobar funciona. A ver si saco un poco de tiempo para limpiarla, engrasarla y arregarle la madera. Después un pequeño debate de dónde ponerla, nuestra casa no es muy grande, por ahora está en una esquina del salón. No me digáis que no es preciosa. Me encantan las máquinas antiguas. Eso si debe ser difícilisimo coser con ella, ya os contaré.

Today I want to show you my latest acquisition, an old sewing machine. This machine is from my grandmother Tere and as she knows that I love manuelidades, she gave it to me. Mis comienzos con los bolillos - My first steps on bobbin lace

Este fin de semana he empezado mis clases de encaje de bolillos. No podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de aprender con una verdadera maestra como Pilar, mucho he tardado en dar el paso. Así que este año Pilar me regaló este precioso kit hecho por Joaquina, es increible la cantidad de cosas que hace y además todas increibles.

Y aquí os enseño mi primera muestra. En la cual he podido practicar Torchón y Doble Torchón.

Aunque tiene algunos errores la profe dice que no está muy mal.
