Cuadrados azules - Blue squares

I had in mind to make a case for my hard disk and this weekend at the beach I took advantage of my free time to do it. I wanted to try a new technique so, I chose to combine two shades of blue squares. The truth is that it is fairly easy to crochet with two yarns and you can make endless combinations, I have some projects in mind :-)

Nuevo material - New material

Carlis and Guille gave me this book for my birthday that I had not yet shown. To Carlis, I did a  Chuthlu, a strange extraterrestrial but cute, I did not picture so I can show you not. But I can show the funny monkey I did for Guille.
Although we do not understand very well why there is a monkey in this book, it was the favorite monster of Guille. I must say that this is my own version because I used a larger hook and changed some details of the vest and the face. I told Guille to be careful because in any moment this funny monkey can become a real monster.

Happy Birthday!!

Almost nobody likes have been born in summer especially when you are a child and you can not celebrate your birthday with your friends from school. But when you get older this changes and Thursday we had a great time celebrating the birthday of Vicky and Miguel. For them I made these two birthday cards. Vicky's card is made with red dots Whasi Tape, a pair of felt flowers and a happy birthday cut with the cricut. Miguel's card is painted with watercolor.

Más azul - More blue..

And I continue with the blues colours, this time with my first crochet purse. I wanted to try out new stiches of one of my last books. I  crocheted a piece of blue stripes. To give it some utility I decided to make a purse. I sewed a zipper, a cool cloth lining and ready.

Blue baby kit

Lana: AMORE (Oso blanco)
Ganchillo: 2,5 mm
Patrones: Propios

Today I show you my last order: a gift for a baby. This time I crocheted a booties and the letter of his name. Inside the letter I put a bell as a rattle and I have put a ribbon either to hang from the pram or the crib.

Manteles africanos - African tablecloths

Some years ago, my father traveled to Mozambique and brought some really cool African fabrics. A year later, Piña and I went, encouraged by my father whom loved the country. It was an incredible trip. And, of course, we came with a lot of fabrics. They are called capulanas and women mainly used them as clothing, to take the kids ... It was really hard to decide between the many prints and colors, as you can see from these photos. The fabrics have become in skirts, dresses, bags and tablecloths. Today, I was sewing one of them to join it to our collection of tablecloths. Here you can see the results.
